Theoretical framework for media studies Media as a geopolitical tool in international relations The Arab press as a case study
Abstract
n its coverage of issues related to the Arab world and especially its conflicts, both in France and in the Arab world, the press provides an analysis that affects international relations and geopolitics more broadly.
Several areas underlie the theoretical framework of research. It is clear that in analyzing media content, the researcher must mobilize a methodology based on a rigorous theoretical framework. The theoretical framework for media analysis is based on semantic cognition, or the search for meaning. The latter depends on frequency analysis as a vector of accuracy and justification of the objective choices chosen by the researcher when studying a press group.
