Abstract

The banking scene in Algeria is witnessing a major development in the development of Islamic financing formulas, either in the form of establishing new Islamic banks or offering Islamic financing formulas along with traditional financing formulas. The aim of this study was to find out the impact of Islamic banking financing on the development of the activities of private economic organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises. In order to verify this, we conducted a field study by distributing a questionnaire on a group of 250 institutions to determine the effectiveness of Islamic finance as a tool for project development. After classifying and analyzing the data we received using the Social Sciences Statistical Package (SPSS), we found that most organizations finance their activities by conventional banks (78%), due to the lack of a window or Islamic bank in their area of activity. The study also showed that organizations financed by Islamic banks experienced faster growth in their sizes and activities than those financed by conventional banks.
